1.Compressed Air Storage

As mentioned above, an air storage tank is an auxiliary compressed air device that provides temporary storage for compressed air before it enters the pipeline system or other equipment in the compressor system.  

2.Stabilizing System Pressure

The air storage tank acts as a buffer between the compressor itself and any pressure fluctuations caused by varying demands. This ensures you can meet system demands (even peak demands) while maintaining a stable supply of compressed air. The air in the storage tank can even be used when the compressor is not running! This also helps prevent over-pressurization or short cycling in your compressor system.  

3.Preventing Unnecessary System Wear

When your compressor system requires more air, the compressor motor will cycle to meet this demand. However, when your system includes an air storage tank, the available air in the tank helps prevent the motor from overloading or unloading excessively, reducing compressor cycling.  

4.Reducing Compressed Air Waste

The tank collects condensate in a moisture trap, which can then be quickly drained when needed.
